Where are you located?
While we are located in Kelowna, BC, Type One Journeys Inc. is a 100% virtual practice. We use phone along with secure email and video messaging to educate and provide as much support as possible.
Are services covered by insurance benefits?
1:1 services are eligible for dietitian benefit coverage through many insurance plans. Check with your plan provider to confirm your level of coverage. After each session you will be provided with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement.
Do you only work with insulin pump users?
While much of my career has been focused on the use of technologies such as insulin pump therapy, I strive to be inclusive of all therapy options. We can adapt many pump therapy strategies to work with multiple daily injections.
Why are 1:1 services only available for BC residents?
As a registered dietitian in the province of British Columbia, I am required to follow the regulations of the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
